2019 saw The Woman’s Club of Colorado Springs’ most successful fundraiser luncheon to date!
The sold-out event, A-Tisket-A-Tasket, was held October 23, 2019 in Historic Bemis Hall on the Colorado College Campus . Members and guests mingled while admiring the vast assortment of Opportunity Baskets.

During the event, GFWC Colorado President Theresa Rudder announced WCCS member Pam Bruni as the 2018-2020 GFWC Colorado nominee for the Jennie Award. Jennie Award nominees are recognized for their outstanding commitment to club, community, and family. This is the only General Federation of Women’s Clubs award presented to an individual.

A fashion show, featuring ethically made fair trade garments, was presented by Tina Schwaner, owner of Frayla Boutique, located in downtown Colorado Springs.

Each of the fashion show models represented one of the local non-profit organizations that will benefit from the luncheon’s proceeds. Mistress of Ceremonies, Babette (played by Birgitta De Pree of the Millibo Art Theatre), entertained the audience while stating the mission of each non-profit.
