WOMAN’S CLUB OF COLORADO SPRINGS FUNDRAISING EVENTS

WCCS is widely recognized in our community for the hands-on volunteer activities provided by its members.

BUT, the club is also notable for the generous financial gifts that it has endowed to several non-profit organizations in Colorado Springs.

WCCS successfully meets these financial covenants by holding multiple, fun-filled fundraising events.

Our largest yearly fundraising event is in the fall, a luncheon and fashion show held at Bemis Hall on the Colorado College campus. Tickets are sold to members and guests for the luncheon and fashion show. “Opportunity” tickets are also sold for the lucky chance of winning one or more of the exotic gift baskets featured at the luncheon.

Every penny generated from this event is donated to several non-profit organizations such as: The Empty Stocking Fund, Early Connections Learning Centers, Partners in Housing, A Kidz Hope, Meadows Park Community Center, and The Home Front Cares.

Our second remarkable fundraising event is the pecan sale done in November and December. We sell fresh pecans from Mascot Pecans in Georgia. The proceeds received from this sale are apportioned to pay for the club’s operating expenses.

The annual Triple-T Party (‘Tinis – Tiaras – Tampons), held in early summer, is always a magnificent fundraising event for WCCS. It is attended by several fun-loving and generous members and guests. The guests and members are treated to an afternoon of delicious treats, exotic wines, fun games, and lovely parades.

To top all this fun, laughter and loving camaraderie, our 2017 event garnered more than 4,000 various feminine hygiene products and financial donations. All the feminine hygiene products were distributed to Partners in Housing, Tessa, A Kidz Hope and Urban Peak, while the financial donations will be distributed to local non-profits as determined by WCCS After 5.
